My Bronco V8 is leaking coolant out of the heads all over his garage floor. I’m replacing the heads with GT40 Heads so thats not an issue, but I’m worried that the block is warped. I hope the block can be machined.

They could have at least used an actual 5-pointer in their photo. . . .
City-slickers these days. . . .

I’ve known people that would call that a 4 point and others that would call it an 8 point. I think it has to do with what part of the country you’re from.

Still not a 5 point though.

Nope, they had two correct answers to shoot for and they missed both.

I wouldn’t be worried about the block. It would have to be catastrophic to require a new one. Any reputable machine ship will recommend decking the block anyway to ensure its perfectly flat when you do a rebuild.

I’m from the 8-point part of the country. Where would that be called a 4?

I'd mount that on my wall. Nice symmetry, good spread, no broken tines.

It's usually heads that warp more so than blocks.

I'm with you. That's an 8 point to me

I think that is mostly for elk in the Rockies. They are usually called out by the number of points on one side if an even rack (e.g. 4 pointer) or points on both sides if they are odd (e.g. 4x5). That may be totally bullshit though, so take it with a grain of salt.
